"Turning Houses into Homes"
Kahnpound Holdings is a husband and wife owned Real Estate company that owns rental properties, rehabs properties for sale or rent, and invests in mortgage notes.
We started in 2006 with the acquisition of our first two rental properties. Realizing that we wanted to do more of this type of investing, out side of our main company, we formally set up Kahnpound Holdings in 2011.
To give you a little background, my wife and I have been together since we were 15. We have had the pleasure of working together full time since 2003. We are not real estate experts or investment wizards, we are just two people that wanted to diversify our portfolio and invest in real estate. With another business we work full time, four kids, and this business, we tend to keep ourselves very busy.

Developed initial company concept that resulted in a fast growth company. Coordinated and participated in the creation of a Linux network and backend MySQL Database that resulted in an increase in performance and revenue. The system handled more than 60 million transactions each day. Managed a team of three employees that established a top-notch customer support for the 600,000+ members by teaching them how to pull data from a MySQL database. After three months we had an offer to be acquired for $60 million and it was to be closed on April 28th, 2000. However, the dot-com bubble burst on April 14th, 2000 and the deal never closed.
Unix/Solaris Client Administrator
Assisted in supporting the world’s largest private Frame Relay Intranet, which has POP’s extending throughout the world. Individually responsible for managing and troubleshooting the UNIX client on customer networks. The UNIX client was built to run on a Sparc 5-20 and Ultra Sparcs as the supporting backend servers. The work screens were sent to users desktops using X-Windows, allowing hundreds of traders to work off of just two servers.
The environments that we needed to support varied widely from client-to-client ranging from about several servers to several thousand servers. Also supported the Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 3.51/4.0 client at customer locations. Performed Y2K testing of all versions of the UNIX Client. Developed Perl software that resulted in the ability to troubleshoot large UNIX networks more efficiently and provides a quicker fix for the customer.
Sales Rep
Sold cellular services to people in an in-bound and an out-bound telemarketing atmosphere. It was important to find out what the customer needs were and fulfill them in order to ensure a long lasting relationship. In 1995, I achieved over 130% of my quota becoming one of the most productive representatives.

Owner
With a strong interest in the developments with the Internet, people had a desire to learn about the fast changing medium known as the Internet. However, with only text-based interfaces, it was difficult to find this information. This newsletter was designed to inform interested individuals about new changes, technologies, things to do, etc. Once the web browser was available in 1994, new websites that popped online were reviewed and discussed.
Companies were able to buy text advertising within the newsletter each week for as little as $30 per issue. With a renewal rate of over 90%, the customer base grew and forced the content to grow. Once this newsletter closed down, due to developing other internet concepts, there was over 150,000 opt-in readers.
This newsletter changed its name several times over the three years it ran.
