Bill Richardson was a prominent American politician and diplomat who served as the 30th Governor of New Mexico from 2003 to 2011. Prior to his governorship, he held several high-profile federal positions, including U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and Secretary of Energy under President Bill Clinton. Richardson was also a U.S. Congressman for New Mexico's Third District from 1983 to 1997.
