Launched in 2013 with Melanie Perkins and Cameron Adams, he helped scale the company from an initial idea to a successful SaaS platform. Obrecht is also known for his previous role as Managing Director of Fusion Books, a school yearbook publishing system that served as the foundation for Canva.
